Micro Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy as it also is called, is done with a small hand held devise that makes tiny controlled punctures called a micro-wounds, or channels. These micro-wounds trigger the bodies healing process to produce new collagen and elastin within the dermis, (lower layer of the skin). Also new capillaries are formed for improved blood supply.
“We wanted to offer customers a medical grade microneedle device without the high startup costs for the pen or exorbitant fees for disposable needle cartridges,” said John Santoliquido, CEO at MD Needle Pen. We also wanted to give customers all the tools to become a successful provider of micro needling so we created the MD Needle Pen Success Portal.

A microneedling pen, like MD Needle Pen, is used to puncture the stretch marks and create microscopic damages. The body responds by producing new collagen at the wound sites and heals the tears in the dermis responsible for the stretch marks. As the outer layer of the skin is not affected by micro needling, the new collagen generated is used only to help heal the stretch marks.
Microneedling therapy has emerged as one of the most popular treatment options for acne scars. In fact, it works very well for hypertrophic scars caused by acne, burns, injury and surgery.
